Toys For Tots

Toys for Tots was created in 1947 when a group of Marines recognized a need in this country to help the Under-Privileged children of America and found a way to fill that need. Thus Toys for Tots was born and the Marine Corps has been working hard in every local community doing our best to help all those less fortunate and in need to have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas.  Every Child deserves to open a present on Christmas morning and that’s where the Marine Corps comes in.  Over the years having distributed over 416,000,000 Toys and delivering the Joy of Christmas and message of Hope to more than 195,000,000 children across America.

Today local Marine units and volunteer’s collect and distribute on average 16 Million toys to over 7 Million children each year.  Here in Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding counties of Central Ohio Lima Company 3d Battalion 25th Marines is the Marine Corps representation and works hard each and every year to provide toys to those Children in our community that otherwise would go without.

Lima Company has done a great job and the Community of Central Ohio is very supportive and caring and without that support we could not make this a success.  Last year we collected and distributed over 100,000 toys to local children for Christmas.  Toys for Tots was able to provide Christmas to many families and children however work is never done and we know their are children that need our help to have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas this year.

As an Organization we look forward to working with local communities and businesses to collect toys and raise money to provide every child in central Ohio the opportunity to open a Present on Christmas Morning.
